When she was a teenager she sang both in traditional and popular music. Her singing interests have broadened to include soul, hip-hop and hip-hop. Pepe Habichuela has said that her vocals as being crisp and sweet but having a bit of bite. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned the singer the Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and her follow-up album in 2018. El Mal Querer was a major critical and commercial breakthrough topping Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and eventually getting a Grammy. La Fama was released by the Weeknd in 2021. Motomami came out as her third full-length album. It featured collaborations with fellow musicians and producers, such as Cory Henry. It was released on March 20, 2022, after the show by Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia performed solo in her first appearance ever on the show. Motomami, Rosalia's album that has won the three Latin Grammy Awards also made Rosalia the first female artist to receive an award for Latin Album of the Year win twice.
