Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. She grew up listening to classical, old boleros and traditional romantic, ranchero, and ballads of romance. Ana likes tangos as much as operas and other dramatic types. She began singing and learning musical instruments with her mother she began her more intensive training in singing at the age of 16 under the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. She furthered her training in music through the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The singer performed in Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young musician and student. Following her move back to California in United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current residence in southern California. The group she is in currently part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and regularly performs as a soloist performing traditional Latin American music at private events. Passion and enthusiasm for arts, music and performing has her participating in many local projects as a teacher and performer. Ana was also a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to communicate with other people her love for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes to inspire younger generations to keep the traditions alive.
